Description

The Stjernholm sand washer is a vital component in dairy bedding management, designed to efficiently separate organic matter from sand particles used as bedding material. Its operation involves a series of stages: Firstly, soiled bedding enters the washer, where a powerful stream of water agitates the mixture, loosening organic debris. Next, the suspended organic matter is separated from the sand through a process of sedimentation and settling, facilitated by the washer’s unique design. Finally, the cleaned sand is discharged, ready for reuse, while the separated organic material is directed for further processing or disposal. Through this thorough and effective process, the Stjernholm sand washer helps maintain optimal hygiene and comfort in dairy facilities, ensuring the well-being of livestock and efficient farm operations.
