Efficient Thickening Process
The Bioselect BS utilizes an advanced separation system to efficiently thicken liquid substrates. The feed pump transfers the inlet material into the Bioselect, where the solid phase is separated from the liquid phase. An auger moves the solid phase to the thick matter pump, while the liquid phase pump directs the separated liquid to its next stage of use.
By adjusting the pump flow rates, the dry solids content (DS content) in the thickened material can be precisely controlled. The solid phase remains pumpable and is transported to the desired storage location via the thick matter pump.
How It Works:
- Inlet Feeding – The substrate enters the Bioselect BS through the inlet opening.
- Separation Process – A rotating auger, enclosed by a wedge wire screen, separates the solid and liquid components. The liquid phase flows through the screen into the outer vessel and is discharged via the liquid outlet.
- Solid Transport – The auger moves the solid phase into a conical press channel, leading to a thick matter pump (rotary lobe pump).
- Final Processing – The thick matter pump reliably seals the thickened material and transports it for further use.
The thickening degree is fully adjustable by varying the pump speed, ensuring a customizable and efficient separation process.
